All this is etched in my memories. I have knowledge of twelve generations of Grandfathers and Grandmothers as well as countless Grand Uncles and Grand Aunts. None of them left me a note, or any kind of written history. Because of this I was motivated to write Lantern In My Hand so that future generations might know the fun I had and what it was like to grow up in the 1930's on a farm two miles east of Vivian, South Dakota.« less
