The Last Battle is the conclusion to the adventure in the magical world of Narnia... There is a false Aslan roaming around causing trouble for all the animals...making the whole way of life upset. Jill and Eustace are needed to find the real Aslan and help make everything right in the world of Narnia.

This has been my favorite book out of the whole series. The end is here for Narnia. This book has it all: false gods, final battle between good and evil, the destruction of a world and a surprise ending. Though it seems like a bleak story, it really isn't. C.S. Lewis does a great job wrapping up the world of Narnia that he started when he originally wrote THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE (the original first book).

Annotation
When evil comes to Narnia, Jill and Eustace help fight the great last battle and Aslan leads his people to a glorious new paradise.

From the Publisher
Narnia. . .where dwarfs are loyal and tough and strongor are they. . .where you must say goodbye. . .and where the adventure begins again.
The Unicorn says that humans are brought to Narnia when Narnia is stirred and upset. And Narnia is in trouble now: A false Aslan roams the land. Narnia's only hope is that Eustace and Jill, old friends to Narnia, will be able to find the true Aslan and restore peace to the land. Their task is a difficult one because, as the Centaur says, "The stars never lie, but Men and Beasts do." Who is the real Aslan and who is the imposter?

In the conclusion of the saga that began with The Magician's Nephew, a false Aslan is roaming Narnia, commanding everyone to work for the cruel Calormenes. Can Eustace and Jill find the true Aslan and restore peace to the land? The last battle is the greatest of all and the final struggle between good and evil.

Synopsis
A powerful script and stellar cast mark this final installment in the acclaimed Radio Theatre adaptation of C. S. Lewis's most famous work. What begins as a self-serving scheme by an evil ape quickly turns deadly, as the fierce Calormenes invade Narnia and claim that their god, Tash, and the Great Lion Aslan are one and the same. Young King Tirian and his comrades must fight for the survival of Narnia. The Last Battle, though the conclusion of the series, is also a beginning--with a timeless message that listeners will treasure.

Read by Patrick Stewart
If you have ever read and enjoyed the Chronicles of Narnia, you will especially enjoy this audio. I love this series of audio books. They are straight readings, not dramatizations. This one is read quite nicely by Patrick Stewart. His talking animals are a bit more "animally" than some of the other readers, but he's got a great voice and does a fine job.

This book was about as bad as The Horse and His Boy. It took me forever to get through it. About halfway through, I just started skimming through a lot of the paragraphs. Out of the seven books in this series, I liked all but these two.

My nine year old summed it up pretty well. "I'm sad to be reading the last chapter of the last book of Narnia." We very much enjoyed this series. I like the theological questions it raises and my son enjoys the story.

Now that I have finished reading this book I really just don't know what to say about it. It was so hard to get into in the first 100 pages until the children showed up... and then after that... meh.

I didn't enjoy this as much as the others. I thought that the LAST BATTLE would be full of war, or at least a BIG battle like in the Chronicles of Narnia where at least ALL the animals and men got to fight for their freedom. But this book with was just the Prince, Eustace, Jill, a unicorn, and a stupid donkey that could do anything for himself. I was disappointed to say the least.

And the End?! what was up with that? Such a lame ending to a wonderful series of books. I think I'm just going to strike the last 2 books out of Existence and just be happy with the story ending at the end of Dawn Treader.

Quoting someone named Chris on GoodReads.com he said:

"And so we must simply be content in knowing that Narnia endures, and always will endure. And that, one day, we will stand on its mountaintops, look out over its endless plains and oceans, and we too shall endure."

I agree completely Narnia will just go on and it's all okay.
