The Last Confederate is book 8 of Gilbert Morris' Historical Fiction series, "House of Winslow", which follows one family's line down through America's history, starting with the first pilgrims. Each book can stand alone or be read as part of the series. Though the books are filled with rich, accurate historical detail, they are great recreational reading and have fun plots with a touch of wholesome romance. Check my list for more in this series.
Excellent condition, read once : - )
Another great chapter in the House Of Winslow, this one covering both sides in the Civil War. As so often happened, there were Winslows on both sides when the war between the states broke out.
Lots to think about in this one. An enjoyable, thoughtful read.
I really enjoy reading about the history of our great country. Morris has done a great job of representing both sides of the war in this book.
