Hi! I received a finished copy Matthew Pearl's "The Last Dickens" courtesy of the publisher for reviewing on a book blog. The copy I received is overall in good condition, but it doesn't look new like most of the books the publishers send out to us reviewers. The "other books by this author" page and the title page are starting to pull apart from each other (though are not loose!). Additionally, the glue did not completely hold the spine of the book cover to the inner part of the pages, so there is a gap between the bound pages and the binding (the gap is not very large, and DH thinks that hardcovers are supposed to be that way to lay them flat for reading without breaking the spine.) I've noticed more and more this is the case with even the brand new hardcovers I've plucked right off the shelves at Barnes & Noble or even received from Amazon.
I am hesitant to post this FIFO, and am hoping that someone who currently has this on their WL sees this and would like my copy. I am a gentle reader, and the book is being well taken care of now that it is in my hands. If you are interested in this book for 1 credit, please PM me.
