I thought it may be fun to have a thread where we share what are the latest additions to our TBR shelves in the romance genre. For some reason I love hearing what people get...

Today I stopped at a great local UBS, Dead Poets Books, and picked up a few...

St. Raven by Jo Beverly (It looked interesting and it was listed as a favorite that just barely didn't make the AAR top 100, plus I haven't seen it anywhere so I picked it up)

The Serpent Prince by Elizabeth Hoyt (I saw this behind the counter and asked if she was selling it, I can't believe how much I lucked out with this! I just wonder if I can read this before Leopard Prince, which I do not have...)

Your Coffin Or Mine? by Kimberly Raye (3rd in the Dead End Dating series)

Ice Blue by Anne Stuart

I got in the mail yesterday, "Alibi in High Heels" by Gemma Halliday and "Dragonborn" by Jade Lee.

I've wanted to try the dead end dating books but haven't ordered any yet.

Was just browsing in Joseph-Beth while DH was in CompUSA and one of the clerks asked if I needed help looking for anything.  I told her I was just passing time and we ended up chatting about various books.  Discovered we liked a lot of the same authors and had read a lot of the same books.  She was telling me about some that were really good and I ended up leaving $60 poorer!

I got The Grail King---Joy Nash

Lucinda Darkly--Sunny

Riding the Storm--Sydney Croft

Pleasures of the Night and Heat of the Night--Sylvia Day

and two more I can't remember right now

I wonder if she was working on commission or something!

Stephanie, You'll like St. Raven, although It's like smack dab in the middle of the Company of Rogues series... the whole series is great!

I can't even remember what I've gotten lately... I am waiting for the first Marliss Melton, Forget Me Not, and Jo Beverley's first book in the Company of Rogues series to come in the mail... I haven't shopped in a while except on PBS:)

I just got Predatory Game by Christine Feehan, Dawn's Awakening by Lora Leigh, The Perils of Pleasure by Julie Ann Long, Shannon McKenna's Standing in the Shadows.  Probably a few others but that's off the top of my head.

I got The Spymaster's Lady in the mail today. I have been waiting eagerly for this one, so I'll probably start it tonight.

I also added Penelope Williamson's Keeper of the Dream

I think _St. Raven_ stands okay on its own, it's not technically part of the series, more of a side book. It is loosely connected to _Hazard_, but I read it first without too much confusion. Sexy, sexy hero!

At the UBS I just picked up Bobbie Faye's Very (very, very, very) Bad Day by Toni McGee Causey.   It is pretty funny.   If I had this woman's life, I'd never get out of bed!

I bought the paperback copy of Mary Balogh's Simply Magic at Walgreen's the other night - one more I can check off my WL.  Recent orders from PBS include: The Dream Thief by Shana Abe, High Energy & High Intensity by Dara Joy, some neat little Mary Balogh regencies from Bronwyn, 3 Penelope Williamson books I mean to start asap, and between here, gifts, and one book I already had, I've put together the first 5 books in the Outlander series.  I also have these 4 Paula Quinn books I bought from half.com that I need to read soon.

Titles from this thread I noticed - St. Raven is good; typical Jo Beverley.  Nothing earth-shattering, but a good read.  I thought Spymaster's Lady was the bomb - loved it - ditto for The Perils of Pleasure.  Beyond Innocence by Emma Holly was my biggest letdown of the year thus far.  I expected it to be every bit as good as Beyond Seduction.  All indications were that it was supposed to be.  The reality left me pretty flat.  I found it to be one big eye-roller.

Yes Stephanie, you can read St. Raven on it's own... they all pretty much stand alone. The only ones in the series I wouldn't read out of order is To Rescue a Rogue and Lady Beware, the 2 newest ones. I read them all out of order, the only ones I haven't read are the first 3, which I will be doing soon:)

I just ordered Standing in the Shadows by Shannon McKenna.  I have never read anything by her, but through other threads in this forum I figured I'd give her a try.

While grocery shopping, Hard to Handle by Lori Foster just jumped into my cart!  It was the last lonely copy on the shelf and needed a good home.

Claudia, I have an extra copy of Untie My Heart if you want it.  It's in borderline to decent condition.  A lot of spine creasing and spine tilt, and a little bit of cleaving starting toward the back of the book - from pg. 230  to about pg. 280.  It's one of those books you could sit up on the spine and prop open, so I haven't posted it until I had a chance to work with it and see if it's something that can be effectively repaired.  It was my old keeper copy and I got a new one, so I haven't been in a rush to work on it.  You're welcome to have it if you want it.

gosh is this confession time?! I ordered some stuff from Amazon then cancelled a couple since I know it'd be a while before I read them. I have 'A Tall Dark Cowboy', The new Victoria Laurie ghosthunter book pre-ordered, the 5th lora leigh seals book(debating cancelling this one too since I haven't caught up on the others but I like to have the entire series when I start something), and the new HelenKay dimon book right here right now I think is the title..I'm proud I cancelled the new charlene teglia book and another ellora's cave title...I have way too much to read already but I think the ones i ordered along with all the piles I have at h ome are more than enough! not to mention what I have coming from here...sigh...
