I bought this book hoping to learn more about how to quilt than I knew at the time. It has been great! Not only as a "beginner" book, but as a book with really cool projects as well. Now that I'm a more experienced quilter, I still turn back to this book from time to time. I find it refreshing after completing a tricky block project to just sit down and whip out something fast but still extremely attractive. That's the way these simple patterns are. There is a really snazzy looking tote-bag on pg.91 with a "Cactus Basket" design. And an adorable "Tea-Cup" wall quilt using floral fabrics that give the look of delicate bone china on pg.103. There is also a beautiful but tiny quilt using the "Trip Around The World" block on pg.30. The colors used in the picture are so perfect. I would say for beginners or old pros, this book is a sure winner.
