An interesting little book that is like an "ology" for adults. It's a sequel to "The Secrets of Pistoulet", but I didn't feel you'd need to read the first to enjoy this one. In addition to the interactive parts of the book, there are also quaint recipes with creative ingredients.
Sweet little fantasy book with envelopes to open inside and recipes.
A sequel to THE SECRETS OF PISTOULET
Welcome to The Villa della Luna, where the past embraces the future. Within our gates are doors to be opened, tastes to be savored, old legends to be traced and new ones to be created.
When Mademoiselle J. arrives at the villa, she is searching for a way to open her heart. As she wanders through the villa's ancient gardents and strolls along the rugged Italian coastline, she comes to learn the legend of the rose garden that blooms throughtout the year, a memorial to a tragic accident that took one lover and left the other afraid to love agian. Should Mlle J. approach this grieving man? Helping her to decide are three wise teachers and the fortitude of such recipes as PASTA VIVANTE, for those who are afraid of the passion of life, and the FOCACCIA OF FORGIVENESS AND RELEASE, for those who need to let go of emotional burden.
Readers captured by THE SECRETS OF PISTOULET will relish the next chapter in Mlle J.'s voyage of self-discovery. And the uninitiated will be enchanted to make her acquaintance in this rich, tactile album filled with gatefolds and doors, recipes and remebrance, tarot cards and tear bottles, mystery and romance.
