SOME ADVICE:
It is best to get an abridged copy of this story. Victor Hugo was concidered a bit "wordy" even in his time.
Toning down some parts doesn't ruin this particular story in any way.
I LOVE the story!

As a fan of Les Miserables in all forms, this book is the true Les Mis, with all of the gritty details of why and what drove these beloved characters to their demise and success.
