I remember reading about her when she got married a few months ago.  I'm glad she had that opportunity before she passed.

What an amazing, amazing woman. I am SO glad they were able to have a legal marriage before she passed away.  Newsom handled it really well

So many of the rights that we take for granted today are because of the actions of women and men like Del Martin.  I hope that I can be half as courageous as she was!

Suzanne many thanks for the link and info. I didn't know about her or her partner. What a wondeful blessing they were to many people. I am glad to lear about it now. We should all be soooooooooo blessed with a relationship  like theirs.  One more angel in heaven :)

This makes me sad - these 2 women are part of our history and now one of them is gone.  Bless her for all that she has done.  My sympathies go out to her wife, Phyllis - 55 years, wow.
