How is this series? is it a funny or cozy type? I have a couple of hers but haven't gotten to them yet. also do they have to be read in order or are they independent stories?

I like your challenge...might take me 20 yrs to get mine down to 80 though! :-) But I'm making some serious dents!

I enjoy them.........They take place in a small town in Maine.  I like her story including her family..........kind of unreal that she finds the deceased after the murders in each story but it is fiction.  I like to read books associated with different holidays/time of the year at that time of year so these fit.  They dont have to be read in order unless you want to watch the children grow up progressively.  For ex, the last one I read New Year Eves Murder, one daughter was in college.  In this book, she is still in high school, maybe 15-16..........but reading them out of order doesnt ruin the story plot.  Each book is an independent story............using the same family/character...........the family/characters have aged as time through the years as the stories are written by the author.  Ten years from now, if she's still writing all of Lucy Stones children will be grown, and Lucy will probably be a grandma.........

Sideline, my challenge isnt working well..........I only shortened my list by 2, but read 9 books in the first month.......what does that tell you?  More coming in than I'm reading......oh well, it's hard to say no to books for a booklover.

These are really good....I've read several, and have several more in my TBR pile.  Usually when I get them they are pretty worn out from being read so many times!

She has a new one out-St. Patrick's Day Murder. I'm waiting for my library to get it. I hate to spend money on a hardcover that I can finish in several days.

I just got the Valentine's Day one in a swap.  I'm trying to get as many in order as I can before I start reading them.
