We are planning a science co-op on chemical reactions and combustibles.  I know the mento/diet coke and vinegar/baking soda experiemnets.  Does anyone have any experiments that may produce an interesting outcome?  Thanks in advance

Here are two great sites:

www.stevespanglerscience.com/experiments/

www.krampf.com/

Both have weekly emails.  We just did the Sharpie no-dye tye-dye shirt this week - fun!

An experiment that we did today in co-op was with The Works toilet bowl cleaner and antacid tablets. The bubbles  WILL spill over unless you have a deep container, so everyone needs to wear gloves. Grind up the tablets for a better reaction.

Alka-Seltzer tablets in carbonated beverage...yikes!  I thought it would make it taste better and I had a big mess!
