Although I didn't think this was Clare Darcy's best work, I really enjoyed having a classic-style Regency romance that was set in Vienna. Letty is fleeing through the streets of London to escape an impending marriage when she runs into Harry. Upon hearing her voice Harry wisks her to Vienna and sets up a gambling house with Letty as the star. Nice tongue in cheek humor with an emphasis on character.
Letty literally runs in to Harry while fleeing an arranged marriage. Upon dicovering Letty's wonderful voice Harry wisks Letty off to Venice to introduce her to society gathering there to celebrate Napoleon's downfall. Letty becomes a sensation. With her light and masterful touch Clare Darcy takes her regency tale to Venice where Letty and Harry discover their love for each other.
It is so refreshing to read a real novel without explicit sex!!! This is the first Clare Darcy book I have read and have requested 5 others from a PBS member.
