Lewis Baltz, born in Newport Beach, California, in 1945, studied at the San Francisco Art Institute and received a Masters of Fine Arts from Claremont Graduate University in 1971. Baltz came to prominence as part of the New Topographic movement of the late 1970s, and since then, his work has been exhibited in major museums and institutions worldwide.« less
