This book is without hesitation among my top 10 reading experiences. Subject matter, craftsmanship, and holistic human portraiture are high-caliber. Delillo's style is intellectually forthright and can simultaneously leave you on the edge of your seat with suspenseful story-telling. A few of my favorite lines:

"If the world is where we hide from ourselves, what do we do when the world is no longer accessible? We invent a false name, invent a destiny, purchase a firearm through the mail.
"Men with secrets tend to be drawn to each other, not because they want to share what they know but because they need the company of the like-minded, the fellow afflicted."

DeLillo presents a novelization of the life of Lee Harvey Oswald (JFK's assassin). Based on extensive research, and written with skill and imagination, this is a fantastic read. Quality writing from one of America's finest novelists.

Was a little slow for me but an interesting premise for history and conspiracy buffs. DeLillo is always a brilliant writer with the right subject.
