Um.  If you are using the overdrive app that takes you to your libraries selection of books, then those books when borrowed should be able to be read on the tablet.   I dont think you can read books from other places through overdrive.  Overdrive only opens overdrives books.

I think you have to transfer it from your PC to your tablet.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough. frown  I prefer to read eBooks in the PDF format when available from my library. I have no problem downloading them to my pc through Adobe Digital Editions. That is not available for Android tablets. What app do I use instead? smiley

Find a PDF reader app, then it should work once you transfer it.

Yes, there are lots of free ebook readers out there.  I like FBReader but I just picked one based on reviews I read.  Lots to choose from.

So I don't have to worry about the DRM from the library on any of these PDF apps? Does the eBook just not open once the expiration date is up?

Usually I convert stuff through Calibre, but it's a process downloading it, converting it on a laptop I don't really use anymore, (I haven't installed Calibre to my new laptop,) and now sending it to the tablet.

What system does your library use?  Mine uses 3MCloud.  I downloaded that app and all my library books open in that and only that.  I can return a book early or, if I don't, on the due date as soon as I turn on the Wifi the book returns itself and disappears from the app.  If your library uses Overdrive, then that's the app you need for your library books.  They won't open in anything else.

For other ebooks, you'd need a different ebook reader app on your tablet.
