She should have hated him. After all, she and her widowed mother, as well as her younger sisters, were being evicted from their home so that his father could turn the estate over to his son. But Edward Whittaker is not the unfeeling man his horrid father would presuppose.
Both, however, seem doomed to loveless marriages if their parents have their way. Lydia must endure a London Season, while Edward must cope with the beautiful but spoiled heiress chosen to be his bride.
