I read this quite a few book years ago. It was really powerful to see how this man overcame a life of being used as a tool to create problems by his mother Madeleine Murray O'Hare - who was chiefly instrumental in the removal of prayer from U.S. schools. To be a voice for God calling for the reversal of this decision. Additionally, He was very neglected; as an adult, he became a Christian and forgave his mother.

"In 1963, Madalyn Murray O'Hair won the landmark lawsuit filed on behalf of her son, William, effectively banning prayer in public schools. Thrown headfirst into the nation's spotlight, Bill soon became a vital part of his mother's growing empire.

In his own words, Bill shares in vivid detail the tragedy of his upbringing as the son of America's most famous atheist - the raging family battles and turbulent adolescence, his increasing dependence on alcohol, and his years as a fugitive.

Nearly two decades after the Supreme Court decision that started it all, Bill Murray came to the end of his personal strength. In desperation he found himself calling out to a God he had been raised not to believe in. More importantly he found God answering."

This is an autobiography of William Murray, son of the atheist Madalyn Murray O'Hair. It gives the insight into the experiences and thinking that motivated his mother's action and tells us something about his miserable childhood. Mr Murray rejected all connections with atheism in 1977 and became a Christian and formed the William J Murray Faith Ministries, through which he counteracted the forces of atheism and humanism in America.
