I have read a couple of Sylvia Browne's book already and am fascinated by her work with past life regressions and healing. I am very curious about what she has to say, but this book was a bit hard for me to swallow. I would like to believe the incredulous things she describes about the other side. Some of the descriptions are very comforting and make me feel less fearful of death, but many are almost just too fantastical for me to grasp. However, I still intend to read more of her books and study her philosophy.
Two premises are needed in order to read this book: 1, that you believe Sylvia Browne is psychic and channels her spirit guide from the other side, and 2. that her spirit guide knows what she's talking about. I happen to love this book, and it is definitely my favorite of Browne's books that I've read so far. This is a very comforting look at what you can expect when you "cross over," as well as how you got to be here and choose the life that you're living.
As always Silvia Brown is an interesting read. This book I found especially intestering. Silvia will tell you how she knows what she knows. What it is like to arrive on the other side according to her guide. What it looks like, the weather, the landscape and the architecture. Who is waiting on the other side for you and how they work, live and play and worship. How to come to a place now in your life to communicate with those on the other side, who by the way are waiting to send messages to you. I really enjoyed this book.
Sylvia Browne claims to be a psychic. In this book she looks over her lifelong career as a psychic, using past experiences, readings, hypnosis sessions, and reasearch to illustrate her findings about
The Other Side. She explains the process of leaving this world for the next, and how we leave The Other Side to continue our life's journey on earth.
This book was the first book I ever read by Sylvia. I found it to be really comforting in a way. I guess after reading it I was a lot less afraid of death. I am now addicted to Sylvia's books. I love the personality and sarcastic humor she puts into them.
I want to believe. I want to believe that there is more to this life than that which I can see and touch. I wanted to find something which spoke to me in this book about those unseen areas, but I didn't find a lot here to help me in my search.
I read this book several years ago and found it to be very comforting about the afterlife which I have always believed in. Recently, I read Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls and Browne's book corrolates with those
books. I don't believe the "judgements" that are going on about her predictions and I don't beleive that should be in her profile here at Paperback Swap...IMHO.
In her phenomenal New York Times bestseller The Other Side and Back, acclaimed psychic Sylvia Browne introduced millions of people to a world beyond our own, where they saw for the first time that death was the end but just another phase in our eternal journey. Now, with Life on the Other Side, she goes even further, attending to our most pressing questions and quelling our deepest fears about death. Like a "psychic travel agent," Sylvia answers our five basic questions: "How do I get there?"; "What does it look like?"; "What are the 'local' like?; "What is there to do?"; and "How exactly do I get back?" She also looks over lifelong career as a psychic, using past experiences, readings, hypnosis sessions, and research to illustrate her findings about "the other side." Now, for the very first time, we're led on an adventure of the spirit to see an unprecedented view of a peaceful place where our departed loved one--and the next leg of our exciting journey--are patiently awaiting us.
"I've personally witnessed her bring closure to distraught families, help police close cases, and open people's hearts to help them see the good within themselves." --Montel Williams
"The The Other Side and Back is the most grounded and authentic 'entry to the other' I have ever read. Browne is a master at conveying the truth that exists in the fourth dimension." --Carolyn Myss, Ph.D., author of Anatomy of the Spirit.
I have read this book three times. It is easy to read and hard to put down. I recomend this book to people all the time. Sylvia gives you peace of mind and comfort in understanding what death is really like when your gone. If you are having a hard time dealing with the loss of a loved one or just fear death, then this book is a must read.
This is the BEST book I have read so far from Sylvia. Everything makes so much sense, feels so familiar, so "right". I was VERY relieved to learn that I am not alone in many of my "experiences", and this book is a huge eye-opener. The information here is priceless.
