A daughter was selling her mothers treasures
which had given her years of pleasure
Her lifetime displayed in things collected
Things her daughter had rejected
Doilies made with loving grace
in her home were out of place
I bought them for a little change
and hung them on my window pane
The sunshines through and casts a shadow
reflecting life lived long ago
