Romantic fairy tale with some history lessons thrown in. I really wanted to like this book but . . . blah. I swear three people wrote this book - one has great writing skills, one writes like they never met a cliche they didn't like and one writes like a dry history lesson. The cliches were incredibly annoying and detracted from the time period and story. One minute I am loving it, the next minute I am shaking my head at the crappy dialogue. I won't be reading any more books by Crookes.
