This book continues the story of Father Tim's adventures in the small town of Mitford, NC. The small town's sleepy pace contrasts with the busy tension of Father Tim's commitments and difficulities. The reader joins the pastor on his emotional roller coaster--which ends with a picture of how deep friendships the small town can get. Throughout both books one and two the reader is also taken on a journey between the town's history and its present, tying the two together.

This book contained more of a "romance novel" aspect than the first--which is not a genre that I enjoy. Because of that, I rate this book a little lower than the first. However, I still enjoyed it, and I look forward to finding out what happens next!

This is the 2nd book of the Mitford Series. I loved the first one so much. This one was OK. The minister finally gets hooked up with his next door neighbor. I got a little bored with the story. I’m hoping the next one will have more plot

I've read the whole series so far and this one was my favorite. The story blended so well and didn't run long like some of the others. An enjoyable read.
