I am in a reading slump.  I have a large TBR pile and credits to spend but can not figure out what to read next.  I am looking for recommendations.  I love to read the threads (I mostly lurk) for recommendations.  Everyone has such varied tastes it is difficult to go by recommendations alone.  So I thought it would be helpful to check out recommendations from others that reference books we enjoyed.

I recently finished Sex, Lies and Online Dating by Rachel Gibson.  I really enjoyed the book and thought of a few books that I enjoyed that were like it.  Sooooo....

If you liked Sex, Lies and Online Dating by Gibson, you might also enjoy Open Season by Linda Howard, Mr. Perfect by Linda Howard and Knock Me Off My Feet by Susan Donovan.

If you haven't read Mr. Perfect by Linda Howard yet, I would highly recommend it.  It was great!

I just finished The Trouble With Valentine's Day by Rachel Gibson - my only other Gibson before was See Jane Score which I didn't like that much, but I loved The Trouble With Valentine's Day and would definitely put in on par with Open Season and Mr Perfect (also major favorites of mine). In the same vein, everything I've read by Susan Andersen fits this category, with my personal favorite being Be My Baby.

I guess I need to put Knock Me Off My Feet and Sex, Lies and Online Dating on my need-to-get list - thanks for the recommendations!

I don't have any other "if you liked ____, you'll like ___ " recommendations, although maybe I'll start thinking of that when I read.

Susan Donovan's Take a Chance on Me was good too! Not as  good as Knock me Off My Feet,  (which is a personal fav and on my keeper shelf) but definitley worth raading:-)

Going through my BIR list I found a few others in the same vein...so:

Aphrodite's Kiss (Time of Your Life) (Aphrodite, Bk 1) by  Julie Kenner was pretty good, though I'd classify as paranormal light...I've got the others all on my TBR pile

Getting Rid Of Bradley by Jennifer Crusie was pretty good too...though I think it's one of her older books....also it's shorter, so if you haven't read any Crusie, it's a good starting place

If you don't mind historicals sally Mackenzie's Naked series is good and funny (though I did prefer books 2 and 3 to the first one) and all of Lynsay Sands historicals are awesome:-)

also Jane Millionaire  by Janice Lynn while not the most original, was a nice quick read.

If I think of anymore I'll let you know:)

I have read several books by Susan Andersen and really like her so I am definitely going to look for Be My Baby .  Head Over Heels (Marine, Book 1)  and Just For Kicks are in my TBR pile.

I really liked Getting Rid Of Bradley by Jennifer Crusie.  I have not read all of her books but my favorite so far is Bet Me .

I have not read anything by Julie Kenner or Janice Lynn and I love to find new authors.  Checked out Aphrodite's Kiss (Time of Your Life) (Aphrodite, Bk 1)  and  Jane Millionaire respectively and both look like fun reads.

If you have not read Susan Elizabeth Phillips, try Match Me If You Can  or It Had To Be You  although most of her books are on my fav list.

I am currently re-reading The Viscount Who Loved Me (Bridgerton Series, Bk. 2) by Julia Quinn from my keeper pile and now I am planning to re-read  It Happened One Autumn (The Wallflowers, Book 2) by Lisa Kleypas.  Both are favs of mine and I rarely re-read a book.

Thanks for the recommendations.

ETA - fixed a link.
