I am having issues so please help....2 different people the last couple days have tried to post books to my WL one girl said one book would not take..we waited and after many attempts that night days it worked..tonight/today another person tried to post 2 WLed books to my shelf again directly these are older members who know HOW to do it and for a good while they would not let her it kept going to someone else..finally 1 took but the other one hasn't.....being she IS posting directly TO MY WL...whats the deal?

thanks ahead

There is no limit she must have been doing something wrong. If her account was on hold or she posted it from the book description page it would not offer the book to you.  Was your account on hold at the time?  If your account was on hold it would not offer the books to you even if you had them on autorequest unless you were #1.  I learned this when someone wanted to post some audio books to me when I was on hold.  It only offered me the ones where I was #1 (the only wisher) and not the ones where someone was ahead of me.

I've had people post 5 WL books to me at one time.  I think the most I've posted to someone else was 3.

Sandy, if you know she is doing it correctly, none of your accounts are on hold, then I would contact PBS and let them know.

Contact Us

It sounds like she is on the description page and not on your WL page. Is she some how navigating away from your WL
page? Again, if you feel everything was done correctly, then contact the team.

I am new here and from this thread it sounds like there is a way for me to post a wish list book I have directly to someone who wants it, circumventing the "first person on the list" method.  Can someone tell me how to do this?

Kate, you would go to the members wish list, find the book and to the far right of that book - you can click on post - you will then be taken to another screen that will say at the top - posting to XXX.  You follow the regular posting screens.

Caution-if the person has their account on hold it will pass to the next person in the FIFO line.  Also you do now want to do this unless you know the member or that they have enough credits.  I PM the person and ask if they want the book.  Unless this is from one of the WL genre threads - where the person already has said they want the book.

Hope this helps.  http://www.paperbackswap.com/help/help_item.php?id=113
