I know how to provide a link in a post by copying and pasting, but how do I change the words in the link itself?

For example, say I provide a link to an article about aliens and instead of the link saying "Link" how can I change the acual link to say "Alien Article"?

I hope this question make sense.

Laura,

I hope this works.  Someone posted about this a while ago.  Here's the thread.

I would type the words "alien article", highlight them, click on the link button above, and paste the url in the pop-up window.

Alien Article

Hope this helps!

Just type whatever work you want the link to be. Then, highlight the text and click the icon in the formatting toolbar that looks like a chain link. A box will pop up. Where it says URL, type the address of the website you want to link to.

ETA: I was typing that out while caviglia was writing the same thing  :)

Also, if you would like the link to open up in a new window, click the tab TARGET and under box "Target" dropdown, select NEW WINDOW (_Blank)
