HF affectionados, I went to a booksale yesterday and found an HF author I haven't heard of -- Margaret Butler. It appears she wrote a trilogy in the 1970s on 12th C England, and in particular, the conflict between Henry II and Thomas Becket. The Lion of Christ is the last in the series. The others are The Lion of England (gee, I wonder who she meant!) and The Lion of Justice (ditto).

Has anyone ever heard of her? Is she worth reading?

I haven't heard of the author, but the trilogy does sound interesting. Did you buy the book from the sale? If you did, let us know what you think!

Sounds interesting.  Just what I need - another new (to me) author/series for my WL.  As it is I'll need to live to 200 to read everything on my TBR mountain range.
