Read ALL the rules and guidelines of this thread before requesting a book or before listing a book!  YOU are responsible for knowing, understanding and following the rules of PBS and of this thread.

Here are the 'rules' for this thread, so please read them carefully.  It is imperative that you read and understand these rules:

1. This will be a "monthly" thread with a twist.  Each month, I will create a post that has that month's name in it and I will update the subject line of our thread for that current month.  Then within Post 1, I will create a link where the new month starts.  Each person who wishes to continue having ARCs in this thread will need to copy over (or relist) your ARCs to a new post AFTER that "new month" post that I create.  Periodically, the Team will purge the old posts, so don't count on people reading through the posts prior to that "new month" post.
2. If for any reason you need to send me a Personal Message, please put something in the subject line regarding this thread (like "ARC Thread" or something like that) instead of letting the system put in "Personal Message."  I get many PM's per day and it can be a puzzle to figure out which thread is being referred to when there is no indication in the Subject line OR in the PM itself (other than the title of a book!...yes, that has happened many times!).
3. Only ARC's will be allowed to be listed within this thread.  Please do not list damaged books or other books that you simply want to get rid of.  If it's not an ARC I will PM you and ask you to remove it from your listing.
4. Each month, you will create a new post to list your ARC offerings.  YOU will maintain that post throughout the month, editing it as needed.  (To edit a post, click the "Edit" button by your name, do your changes, and then click "Update Reply" to finish the edit.)  It might be helpful to create a link to your list each month...then when you update your list you can just provide a link that people can go to in order to see your updated list.  This will keep them from having to wade through pages of posts.  You can easily do this by clicking on My Profile --> Forum Posts link...then find your specific post and click "View Inline."  Copy and paste that link into a new post (when updating) and create a link to your original list.
5. **Newly added 10-30-15**  When you are listing an ARC here, please create a link (or at the very least post the ISBN) for the item you have.  This will help your books move quicky because people can just click the link and see if it's one they want.  If you need help creating links, please PM me...I'm happy to help with instructions!
6. In your posts, let it be known how the ARC is available (manuscript, book binding, etc) and what must be done to get the ARC (free with order from shelf, free to the first taker, etc.).  It is okay within the Book Bazaar (and therefore this thread) to simply ask for a credit for each ARC or make a deal for them.  That is between you and the other member.   (***Remember, ARC's are NOT allowed to be posted on your bookshelf and may only be traded for credit within the Book Bazaar and/or this thread!***)  Below are some acceptable wordings for you, or create your own.

• 1 Credit per ARC
• Free with an order from my Bookshelf
• 2 ARC's for one Credit
• PM me and we'll make a deal
• Free with an order OR 1 Credit per ARC

****It is NOT acceptable to ask for more than the PBS-Book-Price (more than 1 credit per book) for an ARC.

You are NOT allowed to post these ARC's directly to someone's Wish List, so don't ask!!   While I understand the desire to create a transaction that can be followed and that you can purchase PBS-Postage for, this violates the posting criteria.  When you post a book to someone's WL, you are agreeing that the book meets PBS posting criteria...one of which is agreeing that the book is NOT an ARC.  So if you're posting an ARC to the WL, you are blatantly violating this rule.  The best way to send ARCs is to use the Mail to a Friend option.  This allows you to be able to print PBS Postage and provide a tracking number for the person you are mailing to and be able to keep track of the book you're sending.  Credits for these transactions are to be buddied between the two members.

There have been some listers asking for a swap for a book from their Wishlist....this is NOT allowed.  Per the Help Center:

• Can we swap books for books with other members?

So, if you are listing a book, do NOT ask for a book swap from your WL.  If you do, I will PM you reminding you of this rule and ask you to edit your post.  And if you are requesting an ARC from someone who has one listed here, do not offer a book trade OR let someone ask you for a book trade....know that this is against PBS rules!  The only things allowed for "deals" for ARC's are asking a credit, offering it for free, offering it for free with a Bookshelf order, or some other "2 for 1" type of deal (those mentioned above in the bulleted list).

I am *NOT* responsible for the swaps that take place as a result of this thread.  Each person who enters into a transaction is on their own and it is a transaction between them and the other member.  There are no credits required to be here, so we are strictly on the honor system.  This is simply a way to make it easier to find what is available.

What is an ARC?

 An ARC  (Advanced Reader Copy)  is an advance release of a book, usually sent to reviewers before the final copy of the book is published.

• Advance Reader Copies are also known as Review Copies, or Uncorrected Proofs.
• They are softcover books and often carry the same ISBN as the hardcover first-edition that is released later.
• On the cover, they will be marked 'Advanced Reader Copy' or 'Uncorrected Proof' or 'Review Copy' and will usually also say 'Not for Sale'.
