I am a volunteer at an FOL bookstore. We are trying to better organize certain store sections, one of which is the romance book section. Sometimes we have difficulties deciding whether a book is novel/ mystery/horror/romance - etc. We found a site for mysteries called Stop! You're Killing Me which lists all the mystery writers by name,  all the books they have written, years of publication, and any awards earned. Is there such a site as that for romance writers? The SYKM site is free, and because we're a non-profit store we need a site that won't charge us to look. Any ideas, anyone?

You could try looking them up on Goodreads by author name.

www.goodreads.com      free to join

http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/    is also a good site and you don't need to join or anything, but you will need to search for the authors name.

Sorry, didn't see this post earlier. Try www.fictiondb.com   Tells all books authors have written, dates, categories, etc.  You do not have to register to access site.

You can also try the RT Magazine website. Romantic Times.

I used to be an FOL volunteer in our store too. Have you tried to pool your knowledge with all the volunteers? As most of us a our FOL were voracious readers and we all had our favorite genres, between us we knew where to categorize things. We had a couple not so knowledgeable volunteers and we'd have to help them, or reshelf but they caught on or at least knew who to ask.
