From the back cover:
One day an egg hatched open. Out came Little Chick. She ran and played and ate. When evening came, Little Chick crept under her mother's wing. She said, "Tell me a story, Broody Hen." So Brody Hen did. And it was a very special story!

Personal reveiew: This 1978 original copyright date, has the muted technicolor pictures typical of the early seventies. The light hearted adventure of a little chick growing up and seeking a story of the what will happen when I grow up. It is a nice way to introduce your child to life expecations.
