now I've been trying to figure out how to post a link when I post in the forums (like if I wanted to link to a book and only wanted the title showing instead of the whole address).  For some reason they all come out like this:

<a href="http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9780380820061-And+Then+He+Kissed+Me+Avon+Romance">And Then He Kissed Me</a>

I don't know what I'm doing wrong.  Is there anyway to fix it?  I think If I could figure out how to turn off the little toolbar up there (the one with the bold and italics buttons) I could do it.

thanks

how are you inserting - copying and pasting?  All I do is go to the url field -Highlight the whole address and  press Ctrl key + C key .  I then place my cursor in the text window and press Ctrl key + V key.

You aren't closing off the first greater than/less than symbols. You also need to make sure that you are putting the quotations on each side of the link:

then directly next to that: Title of the book

Yes!!! But if you want it to have a title, then you need to put that between the > and the <.

here - hope this helps - I found this from a previous post

If you only want to make a link that's clickable and not the one that says "link" you can copy the URL of the book's listing page and paste it to the  post here.  Then you can highlight it and use the "link" symbol in the last section of the little toolbar on top of the post section and it should become a workable link.
