Engrossing story as told from the author's point of view. Highly recommended as a companion to any study of 19th century American history.

These books are a must-read for the whole family! I love how the author explains and describes so many things so clearly. I recommend all of the Little House books as read-alouds for littles, and as great stories for grown-ups, too.
