I've been waiting for a book.  The sender uses delivery confirmation so I am able to track the little mail truck on it's journey on the map here at PBS.  On Saturday, the book reached it's destination (here).  Yay!

But no book was delivered.  I expected the book to be delivered yesterday.  Nada.  Today, the little mail truck is back in Southern California and I don't have a book. :(

What's up with that??

Don't trust the truck. Except for the actual messages (waypoints, delivery statuses) the little truck is a guess. It makes the guess that the package will travel about 150 miles a day (maybe, I don't really know).

In reality, media mail sits in one place for a long time, then makes most of the trip in one day.

I ordered one for my DGS and it was sent with DC, and it's been stuck in the town 45 miles from DGS for 3 days.  LOL.    Pat

Yup, only look at the scans. The truck is for amusement (or frustration) only.

In my experience, that dratted little truck carries a shipment of lies.

I had the drunk truck thing happen to me before too.   It hadn't left the station when the sender noted it did so, its estimate was off.   Frustrating little tool. :)

I have had several books be scanned in at my PO, and it took over a week for the book to come to me.  I'm waiting for one right now!  First book of a series to which I have all the others!!  Very frustrating.

But if you click on it -- it beeps!  (Loudly I might add.  Found that out the hard way at work when I, bored, tried to prod the little sucker on it's way.  ...I also found out my computer speakers were turned up too loud.)
