This is an updated, no gore, version of the classic fairytale. In the end, no one gets ate, no one needs rescued. I was suprised, and would hate to ruin it for you. My kids really enjoyed this book, before they outgrew it. It's in excellent condition, can barely tell it's been opened. I think it's a great bedtime story, and the words are large enough and spaced well so that even a beginner reader could read this book.
