Oh boy, this was sad. Not really that good. NOT 1 of her best. It was sooooo slow and boring. Not all that much suspense going on. The heat and passion were there, but i honestly struggled to get thru this book. Lora Leigh is a fave author of mine, and im very disappointed in the series ender. So not what i was hoping for. Tehya is just so bull-headed & Jordan is well, Jordan. They mix great, but the plot was just bad. Not a keeper, which is saying A LOT. Hopefully her next Erotic Suspense series kicks it up a notch. Big time bummer.

Is this the end of the Elite Ops series?? It looks like everyone on the team is matched up. I was looking forward to Jordan's story, and even though it was somewhat predictable and the end was a little anti-climatic, I still loved Jordan and Teyha's story, they have a passion for one another that drives you to a cold shower from the pure heat of their sexual drive for each other. But now that we know who was really aligned with Sorrell and the truth to Teyha's entire life of running and hiding. I was expecting a little more from the conclusion. I was a little disappointed in the ending, but overall I'm ok with the story.

My only true complaint was the editing, will someone please proof-read these books before publishing!

As a fan of Lora Leigh I must get this out there: Lora, did your fashion sense end in 1990's? Why are young women and men dressed like they did when the stars of 90210 were still young? Why must we have a young woman hanging out at a bar wearing black leather pants (in the summer) and a sleeveless button-up shirt? The visual I get on that is NOT PRETTY. Later she's wearing a silk camisole and matching shorts - you mean camisole and tap pants? Something that hasn't been sold in stores since 1992? And while I'm complaining, why does everyone talk alike and use words like pussy, cunt, cock, and fuck in every sentence? People don't really talk like that. Maybe some folks use dirty talk in the bedroom, but not EVERYONE - but if you read LL's books, you'd think we all do.

This story was too long with little happening. Lots of repetition of dialogue and inner dialogue. Yes we get that Jordan wants her but won't accept that he loves her. Yes we get that she's been running her whole life. We get it, we get it already! The story could have been told in 100 pages.

That said, LL does hold up her end of the bargain with plenty of steamy hot scenes.

It's worth the read if you've been through the whole Elite Ops series, you'll want resolution to Live Wire and Tehya. If this is your first LL book, skip it.

I love all of Lora Leigh's books so I may be a little biased. Her Elite Ops books are about military operations units and the men and women who are a part of these teams. The emotions are raw and from start to finish tense and dripping with drama. The sex is explicit and Lora's way with words makes you feel all of it. She is very good in her choice of words and sentences. Some authors, even ones I love to follow, tend to be repetitive in their wording and it is obvious. But I have never noticed this in Lora Leigh's books. Excellent.
