Any book that can get me to turn off the TV and check my e-mail only once a day deserves four stars from me. I found the book's ideas, if not all of the concrete suggestions, to be life-changing. I think, however, the author should leave topics such as parenting and dieting to the experts. Overall, this was definitely worth a read.
An excellent book with great ideas to make life more simple. The book covers: The Simple Life and what it means, Getting Started helps you jump start simple living, The Things That Really Matter helps you reevaluate, Some Things to Think About helps work out any bugs in the system, Getting Rid of our Stuff looks at the need to own less, Changing Our Consumer Habits, Learning to Say No, Some Inner Stuff covers finding one's life work, Personal and Household Routines simplified, Lifestyle Issues covers home management in a nutshell, Simple Parenting as well as family/relative issues, Simple Wardrobe Ideas for Women and Simple Wardrobe Ideas for Men. This book is a great size to toss in a bag and carry anywhere-it's simplified as well. Wonderful way to start simple living today.
