Published in 1989, this book offers lots of fascinating photos, history trivia, charts and nautical terms definitions. Features the Soo Locks, the St. Lawrence Seaway, the Panama Canal, ship listings, etc. I love it!

Finding this book on PBS was a serious gem. I was so excited to get this. They are not hard to find online but to get one on here is great.

Book covers the history of the Soo Locks at Saulte San Marie MI and ON. Has some great history on lake boats in this edition. Some stuff on Edmund Fitzgerald but isn't overwhelming like some other overview books tend to be.

Great pictures in the book. I hope it comes up on PBS again, but it won't be my copy!
