I put my copy of Logan's Run into the system by the ISBN and it listed it with the wrong cover, the wrong year, incorrect number of pages, and wrong publisher. I tried to edit the info cause three people have the book on their WL. After making all the changes, I got the message that it will go to the moderator. What now?

Now a moderator will look over your suggestions and approve (or not approve) them. The cover is irrelevant, as covers can change. The rest, while it's good to get corrected info, probably won't factor into whether or not someone wants to read it*** :-) Most of those changes seem to get approved pretty quickly when I submit them. FWIW! ***Wow, when I read that back, I realized I sounded kinda snarky. Sorry about that. All I meant was, the wishers will probably still be wishing - if you're concerned that they really wanted a copy that matched the wrong info, you might PM them. I looked at your shelf and didn't see it there. If it isn't a wish-listed book I'd love to know the details on your copy, I didn't even realize there was a book version of Logan's Run. Is it a novelization or was it a book first? If it's just going to end up on your shelf please let me know, I'd be really interested in picking it up when I have a credit, especially if it's from the 70's. I just love older sci-fi.

Logan's Run was written by William F Nolan & George Clayton Johnson. The copy I have is isbn 0-553-02517-1. It is the movie tie-in with the logo in metallic foil. This was reprinted later without the foil, important because they also edited out some of the "dirty bits" in that version.

Hi Cylis 9, That last link took me to a page where the middle book cover in the row of covers is the one I have, with the same ISBN as yours. Mine also has the color pages from the movie in the middle. The book is showing up in my to be mailed page. I guess I should just pm the person to make sure they know what's going on. Thanks |

I PMed the person that ordered this book but haven't heard back from them. I PMed one of the Tour Guides also. I haven't heard back from the moderator(s) yet, so I don't know what to do about this. Any suggestions?

I am supposed to mail this book by Friday. I have PMed : a tour guide, a tour guide/book info change person, and the book requester (4 times and have never heard back from him). Who should I contact next or what further steps do I take? Last Edited on: 6/25/08 11:09 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

The only thing that really has to match is the ISBN#, Author, Title and binding type. Many books are reissued several times in various sizes and typeface formats using the same ISBN. So the info that's in there could be right for another version w/that ISBN. You do NOT have to PM people to let them know that the cover picture or #of pages is different as long as your book matches the ISBN, Author, Title and Binding type. If someone wants a specific cover for a collection then they need to have RCS requesting that cover. |
