I love old lesbian pulp fiction novels. Authors like Ann Bannon, Paula Christiansen, and Valerie Taylor. This book is not old, but the plot is pure pulp-ey goodness! Nolan gets the naive, I-don't-know-I'm-a-lesbian-yet innocence of so many of these characters down to a T in Lois Lenz. "Gosh!" and "Golly!" are uttered frequently as Lois navigates the wonders of an advertising firm. It's "lesploitation", but in a good way.
