I'm about 50 pages into this book and I am really enjoying it so far.  I think it's on par to become one of my favorite classic novels.

I found it helpful to read the annotated edition, if you aren't already; you may find that Nabokov is smarter than you can possibly imagine. http://www.amazon.com/Annotated-Lolita-Revised-Updated/dp/0679727299/

Great book, beautifully written. Humbert's a creep. And as a foster/adoptive mother with a child probably permanently in a mental institution as the result of pedophiles and mother to many more who have been damaged, I hate him. As a reader, I like the book.

A passage in there about driving through America is one of the best things ever writtenin English..
