This is the account of one of the darkest and most peculiar cases to present itself to the officers of the esteemed P Divison in Glasgow, Scotland.
It opens quietly enough, with the routine investigation of a stolen vehicle that has been abandoned deep in rural Lanarkshire. When disturbed topsoil indicates that something far mor sinister has also been abandoned, it reminds Sgt Sussock of a similar incident same 25 years earlier - and to the horror of the investigators, the fields of Lanarkshire begin to give up their dead.
It began with a missing child, then a stolen car, and finally with the body of a young woman found in a shallow grave. At the scene is a fluffy toy rabbit. Veteran police inspector Ray Sussock of the P Division in Glasgow senses there is another body nearby
#8 in a series: For the officers of Glasgow's P Division, a call-out to a vehicle abandoned deep in the surrounding countryside seems purely routine - until disturbed topsoil indicates that something far more sinister has been abandoned.
