It's the anniversory of 17 year old leo's older sisters death. His father has left and his mother is now crazy. Leo feels like he can't take it anymore and kidnappes Bree. Both teens are out escaping their troubled lives and home and seem to have more in common than thought.

this novella follows two completely unrelated characters who meet by terrible circumstance. It shows the effects of abusive relationships and grief. The story is short, occuring over only one night but filled with suspence. I recommend it for a mature teen audience.
