Tom Friedman has a regular column in the New York Times. I have always loved his columns and this book is excellent (It is actually a collection of his NY Times columns). A must read for anyone who is interested in politics in the middle east, terrorism and its origin and the Iraq war.

Friedman is a very bright guy and an expert on the Middle East. Interesting book.

This author is winner of the 2002 Pulitzer prize for Commentary. The audio cassette is read by the author. It is brand new and still in shrink wrap. If you are intrested in all the players in September 11th this is for you. In the author's words, "the result is a word album that captures and preserves the raw, unpolished emotional and analytical responses that illustrate how I, and others, felt as we tried to grapple with Sept.11th and its aftermath as it continues to unfold."

Reviewers wrote, "Top-notch.... well-researched, original thinking." "A valuable work..... Few writers have a better grasp than Thomas L Friedman of the dimensions of Americas's war on terrorism....He is a brilliant reporter [who] has revolutionized foreign-affairs punditry."

Friedman is brilliant. This book is no exception. Read it to understand what's really happening in the world before, during, and since 9.11

Another worthy compilation from Friedman. Nowhere as good as The World Is Flat or Lexus And The Olive Tree. Mostly a collection of his NYT articles leading up to and following 9/11.
