My son got me a beautiful flower pin that was hardened and preserved with what looks like laquer.
It's very hard, the shape is perfect. and the color looks real and natural.
I would like to make one of my own. I've read a bunch of how to articles. They were ok.
Has anyone here made their own preserved and hardened flowers. There are so many different techniques.
I would like to know about your experience so I can get a book on just the right technique that would yield the right results.
I have heard of electroforming, borax, laquer, shellac and others.
Any imput would be much appreciated.
