I am looking for a children's book that would have a story about welcoming a new brother or sister.

I am looking for something geared towards elementary aged children (k-3).  It doesnt have to necessarily be about a new baby, but maybe step brothers/sisters or just a guest?

If anyone has any ideas it would be really helpful!

Thank you!

I can totally reccommend "What Baby Needs" by William Sears. I used it with my son, and passed it on to 3 other families. He also wrote one called "Baby on the Way" but I've never seen it.

My bar non favorite book about guests is this online thing from The Toymaker.

I just think it is so cute! I wish she would publish it.

I have two books on my shelf that we used with our children when they became big brother/big sister:

"The New Baby" by Mercer Mayer (Little Critter book)

"Now I am Big: Our New Baby" by Brimax (board book)

We also got a book called "I'm a Big Brother" by Joanna Cole (there's also one called "I'm a Big Sister" by same author) - I don' t have this one to swap, but it may be on someone else's shelf.

A great book on this topic is called I don't want a baby brother (I think) It's about a little lion who is upset that his mom and dad are having a baby.
