Hi Sheila,

Before asking for deals on books, you should check to make sure the books you are asking for are not Wish Listed. Currently all editions of Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson are WL'd. It is against the rules to ask for books in the forums that are WL'd. They can be offered in the appropriate genre forum WL threads. Also since they are WL'd, you are not going to find anyone willing to give you deals on those books when they can get a full credit for them.

It looks like the Gregor the Overlander books are also WL'd.

You may want to edit your list so that it contains only books that are available to be ordered right now. If your thread gets reported, the PBS Team could suspend your account for breaking the rules.

Jennifer,

Please note that "unpostables are okay" - I stated that in the first line of my post.

I am not asking anyone to give me a deal on postable waitlisted books.

I do not believe I am breaking the rules by asking for unpostable books. As a Tour Guide you should be aware of this and if it is against the rules to ask for unpostable books in a deal please provide me with the section of the site rules that states this.

Book availability changes minute by minute on this site. There is no way to ensure that a book that was available yesterday will not be waitlisted today.

@Shelia

As an observer of the thread, "unpostables are okay", is not the same as a declarative sentence "I'm looking for unpostables".

And your last line:
"Please PM me if you have any of these (postable or unpostable) and are offering a deal."

Also lacks in specificity in regard to unpostables.

Jennifer was simply trying to help you clarify your post and suggest you edit it.

Just my 2cents worth of observation.

Rob,

Well, obviously if someone has one of the books I am looking for on their shelf and is offering it in a deal I would be interested in that postable, available book as well as any unpostable  books.

I believe this is why I do not venture into the Book Bazaar too often. It is feeling like a rather unfriendly place.

I am simply looking for books for my children's Battle of the Books competition. I added in a few that my mother wants for her book club. If the book is posted on your shelf or you have an unpostable copy and you are willing to offer a deal I am interested. If the book is wishlisted and you have an unpostable copy I am interested.

If you are looking to split hairs on the wording of my original post I am not interested :-)

"If the book is posted on your shelf or you have an unpostable copy and you are willing to offer a deal I am interested. If the book is wishlisted and you have an unpostable copy I am interested."

I think that sentence in the original post would have clarified things nicely.

This ISBN of Chains is not wishlisted yet: 1410414256 (at least not when I posted this) and some of those versions only have 4-6 people on the WL, it could be off the WL shortly. I do not think her post was blantantly asking for people to post her WL books before everyone else. Besides there are many people who will not post a WL book unless another book can be ordered with it. She may have 2 of those books from someone elses shelf and willing to deal.
