Anyone willing to offer a deal on a group of Karen Rose romantic suspense novels? I'm still looking for a novelist to compare to Shannon Mckenna or Linda Howard in the romantic suspense genre and have read good reviews for Karen Rose's suspense books. Would love a deal on a few of her books. Thanks!

I don't have any Karen Rose on my shelf but I wanted to say that for romantic suspense, I really like Allison Brennan, Mariah Stewart, and Shannon K Butcher.

Would you compare any of these authors to Shannon Mckenna?

Have you tried Sandra Brown?

You might also enjoy Karen Robards earlier  mystery-romance, I don't really care for her more recent releases.  Some titles by KR you might want to consider, Ghost Moon, Walking After Midnight, Hunter's Moon, and Maggie's Child.  I remember really liking those titles.

Never tried Karen Rose, I will add her on to my reminder list.

Margaret,  IMO Gennita Low's books compare to Shannon McKenna.

The authors I mentioned don't compare with McKenna on the love scenes--McKenna is more explicit. I don't really know how to compare them; what do you like best about McKenna's books?

What I liked best about McKenna is that I can't seem to put them down once I start lol. I also like the sexual tension and content although the level of eroticism in her books is not a  requirement for me. I also really like Linda Howard's romantic suspense. I recently read Tami Hoag's Cry Wolf and I thought it was just okay. I have also read Ashes to Ashes and thought it was great but prefer a bit more romance focus than there was in that book. My favorite Mckenna books are Behind Closed Doors and Extreme Danger. I didn't really like her latest. I LOVED Linda Howard's Shades of Twilight and After the NIght. Those two and Cry No More are among my favorites. I guess I like alot of emotional content, suspense AND sexual tension.

I agree with Brenda; G. Low's book (writing style/manner) are the closest to McKenna. I love Linda Howard's romantic suspense novels. Cry No More, was so hard to read though; I can't imagine anything worse than losing your child/having your child stolen.

how about Alison Brennan(not sure the spelling) I saw her recommende one time for suspense...Kay Hooper went towards suspense too..Shannon K. Butcher has some that are romantic suspense. I try to stay clear of too much violence and 'scary' stuff 'cause I'm wussified...Karen Robards scared me LOL though I liked the few I read by her.
