My aunt has a friend (Jane) that she takes to her doctors appointments and to pay her bills. Other than the places my aunt takes her Jane never leaves her house.  Jane is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She has no one to care for her or do anything for her.  She told my aunt that she loved the book by Luanne Rice that she had given her. She asked my aunt if she had any more by Luanne Rice or if she got any if she would share them with her.  I would like to find a deal on Luanne Rice books and have them shipped straight to her. I know that Jane would be as happy as a person can be when she receives the books. If anyone who has some Luanne Rice books just sitting on a bookshelf and would like to do a great kindness for a dear elderly lady please help me out. It would be like a Christmas gift from both of us for someone deserving who will most likely not have any Christmas.  I only have five points right now so I really need to get a deal to do this. Even is she didn't get them until after Christmas it would still be a great surprise for someone deserving. Thank you and I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas. LYN

I have three Luanne Rice books:  Summer's Child, Beach Girls, and The Perfect Summer.  If you think that Jane would like these, I'd be willing to mail them to her.  Don't worry about the points, this one's on me!  Just PM with her address.

Happy Holidays!

I thought that since I received a PM from someone who wanted to send Jane some books even though she didn't have any Luanne Rice that Jane lives off a small social security check and will read anything she can get. Since she doesn't get out all she has to do is read.  I know that she likes biographies and has read all of my Danielle Steel, Belva Plain, and books like that. I don't know of anything that she does not like. If you would like to send a book or two to her Please PM me for her address. Thank you, LYN

I have Summer of Roses, Safe Harbor & Summer Light on my TBR pile along with about 1,000 other books, so I'd be happy to send them along for free as well if any of those aren't ones she's already read.  PM me.

Hi:  Check out my list and if there are any books that you think Jane would like, let me know, send me her address, and I'll ship them off to her when we go to town next Thursday.

Lyn,

Please look at my bookshelf to see if there is anything that someone else hasn't sent.  Send me a PM if there is anything suitable and include Jane's address.  I will ship out the books this week...no credits necessary!  Nice to do these things around Christmas, especially!

Just mailed out the three Luanne Rice books.  I also included "Heart of Winter" by Diana Palmer,  "Lakeside Cottage" by Susan Wiggs, "Pretty Woman" by Fern Michaels, and "The Calhouns: Suzanna and Megan" by Nora Roberts.
