My grandson's BD is in the Fall and I would like to make a nice collection of books on the subject of endangered animals, as well as animal books in general.

He will be 8 but is an excellent reader. However he still loves pictures.

Looking for books in nearly new condition and good deals.

I am thinking more along the line of books geared to just children...thinner and lots of pictures, but not babyish...for a 7 year old.

 I would like  to find relatively new books that would look good for a BD gift.

I don't have this book on my shelf, but WE BOTH READ: Endangered Animals is an amazing book.  A parent reads one side of the page (with more difficult words) and then the child reads the other side (with appropriate wording).  I teach third grade and they LOVE this book!  I know it's in the system because I just checked.  Hope you find it and enjoy!  =)
