Here's what I ideally want-

One that fits the Kindle Touch/Nook Touch that will stand easel style. I found the official one from B&N and a version from a company called LightWedge/Verso at Office Max yesterday. Both were 39.99. Does anyone know of one that will let you read hands free?

Thanks!

Barbara is right.

At Michaels I got three different sizes of twisted wire art/pictures stands. One is just the right size for my iPhone and I use it in the bathroom on a shelf. The middle is the right size for any of my eReaders, and the larger one big and strong enough for my iPad. I use that one in the kitchen when cooking and propping the iPad up for recipes or watching a movie while I'm cooking.

They're heavy duty, work on any flat surface, and about $2.50 - $3.00.

If you don't have a hard flat stand to place the reader on, none of the covers I've seen would stand up anyway.

Do you want a COVER or do you want PROTECTION for your ereader? They are very different. Most covers do not provide protection from crushing.

The Speck brand, at Target, stands up like an easel and will provide some protection for your Kindle. It's $30.

Do you have a Five Below store in your area? I see lots of E-reader covers and cases there, some with built in stands. They're all 5 dollars or less and the ones here had name brands.

You need to think about what you will use it for and how.  My DH got a fancy Kindle cover and hates to use it except when traveling.  Weights too much.  I do use my easel cover for my Nook.   Got a hard cover just for traveling for my iPad.

And I use a heavy weight zip lock plastic bag for both my Nook and my iPad when I'm in the bath or around messy food.

For my Nook Classic, I have the normal book-like cover/holder. The depth of it is a strain for my short fingers to hold for long times. I take it out of the cover more than I leave it in now. I noticed on the plane, I really wished I had a hands free easel style though and since I'm upgrading to the Touch and need a new cover/holder, I'm thinking about one of those. But 40 bucks!

I got a good quality easle style leather cover for my Ipad for $12 on Ebay.  It came with a stylus & set of headphones too.
