I love Shelley Laurenston/G.A. Aiken, Gena Showalter & Kresley Cole.  I know they're normally considered 'paranorma romance' but I think they're hilarious and I'd like to find more books that are funny, have lot's of smut (erotica's fine, if the writing is good) and are fairly contemporary.  I'm working on Lora Leigh right now. She doens't have alot of humor but the smut's first rate! LOL

Have you tried Kasey Michales? I particularly liked Love To Love You Baby and its sequel, Be My Baby Tonight.

Also, it's part of a series, but Susan Elizabeth Phillips has Nobody's Baby But Mine. I think it's the third in the Chicago Stars/Bonner Brothers series, but stands alone pretty well. It cracked me up.

I've also heard people go for Jennifer Cruisie. I've only read a few of hers, but friends swear she makes their guts bust with laughter.

If I think of more, I'll come back and post.

Jennifer Crusie, Victoria Dahl, Erin McCarthy, Rachel Gibson, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, MaryJanice Davidson, Katie Macalister, Susan Donovan.

There are more, but these, particularly J. Crusie and S E Phillips are the cream of the crop. Victoria Dahl only has two contemps out so far, but they were both very good as well, IMO.

I've read a couple of Jennifer Cruisie's books and I thought they were cute. I've seen Susan Elizabeth Phillips' books mentioned before but haven't read any of them yet.  I will try her and Kasey Michales.  Thanks Natalie!

Also, thank you Samantha!  I've actually read just about all of MaryJanice Davidson and Katie Macalister.  They're paranormal and that's been my focus for the last year or so. I know Erin McCarthy and have something or other of hers on my TBR list.  I will check out Victoria Dahl and Rachel Gibson!

Thanks again!

Jill Shalvis is very funny. Not a lot of smut, though. :) But her humor is fabulous. I recommend Double Play. That's the funniest thing she's written, in my opinion. There are two more baseball stories following that one, apparently.

Have you tried Christie Craig?  I recently read "Divorced, Desperate and Delicious"... it was hilarious.. but also had a good story to it.

I've got one: Jane and the Sneaky Dom by Hannah Murray .  It was hilarious and very hot!

Thanks for the recommendation, Lynn.  It looks like a good book,  so I put it on my WL where it won't be lonesome.

Carolyn,     I wanted to encourage you to check out two books that made me laugh out loud many times:  Fast Women and Welcome to Temptation by Crusie.          I really loved Match Me If You Can by SEPhillips too.
