Hello all,

I've been wanting to read some romance novels that have a guy or girl next door kind of theme. You know - they're friends, the girl's been in love with the guy forever, and he's oblivious until one day he's like "WHOA." Suggestions, please! I like both historical and contemporary novels.

I would suggest Kristan Higgins Just One of the Guys or Fools Rush In. Both are sweet reads and full of laughs and hunky men.

That 's one of my favorites too , in Romance. But  I'm completly drawing a blank on titles.

there is one of my favorite blaze books that has that  in it. " http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9780373790913-Wild+And+Wicked+Harlequin+Blaze+No+87" by Joanne Rock

I thought of another " Seducing Simon" by Maya banks

or " Always you' by Megan Hart, the last two are W.L

I thought of the following book by Debbie Macomber~

Ready for Romance
At the tender age of 14, Jessica Kellerman was wildly infatuated with Evan Dryden. But that was just a teenage crush...although it made quite an impact at the time. Now, almost 10 years later, shes in love--truly in love--with his older brother, Damian. But everyone, including Damian, believes she's carrying a torch for Evan!

I read it, and it was a very sweet story.

Thanks everyone  - I haven't read any of those. The few that I was thinking of in particular that I loved were The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever, The Seduction Project, Guilty Pleasures, The Devil You Know. I feel like this is a plot more often in historical novels, but I'm looking for more historical and contemporary, so more suggestions please!!

Karen Robards - Whispers at Midnight. Its romantic suspense but with just the theme your looking for. I enjoyed it.
